Karen Sullivan

Personal Trainer, Coach, Author, Independent Shaklee Associate

I started lifting in a small gym in Virginia Beach, VA. I was captivated and soon was convinced to do some competitive amateur body building. Years later I found myself working for the local swim team’s strength and conditioning coach in Williamsburg, VA. I have certifications with AFPA  as a Certified Personal Trainer and Post Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist. In 2014 I received Movement Disorders Training necessary for working with people who have Parkinson’s Disease.

In the Spring of 2013 The Zen of Weight Loss  was published (co-author Jeri Levesque, Ed.D.) it is now available as an eBook. It is the embodiment of my philosophy of fitness. Since then, I’ve presented my program through lectures and workshops. This coaching method is a unique approach to fitness has allowed many to reclaim their health and liveliness. In 2015 the companion journal, Your Perfect Food Plan was published. Both are available on Amazon.

I am certain that fitness is dependent on good nutrition. It is for that reason I recommend the supplements from Shaklee Corporation. Full disclosure I am and have been a consumer of their product lines since 1981. I am also an affiliate of Shaklee and an Independent Associate because I their research and development, science, ethics and customer service are superb. Click below to learn more.

  1. Hi there. I used to have a recording of David Simon teaching about and chanting the Tryambakam, but cannot find it since my old computer failed a while back. I have been googling to find out how to get a copy and I found your post about it: https://zwlcoaching.com/tag/tryambakam/ What you describe, the intro and explanation and all that, sounds like the same recording I had. Do you know where I can find it? Thanks for any help or direction!

    • Erin, I would think you can contact the Chopra business customer service. (760) 494-1639
Since David Simon was Chopra’s partner I believe they would be able to help you. It certainly does resonate in your spirit — right? Thank you for running across my work and reaching out.

    • Hello. My name is Michael Viener. This is the only contact possibility I have found so far. I am trying to get hold of Michael (Sharpe) Shapiro, the saxophone player. He knows who I am. If you could would you tell him to get in touch with me. Or tell me how I can find him. mviener@mindspring.com

    • Michael, I knew Michael Shapiro while I was living in Decatur, GA. He was a regular customer at the Kroger where I was a cashier. I am sorry I do not know anything else about his address. He remembered you and was touched that I found some information on him on the internet. The kroger was at the location of Toco Hills. I don’t know if that will help you at all.

      All the Best

  4. Tillie, Thanks for checking me out. Hope you can get your friends to subscribe too. I am excited about having another way to work with peple and answer questions about fitness. My approach is so different than what is out there I feel I can help folks. I added a YouTube link to the video. Perhaps that will work better for you! This group of people are simply AMAZING. Thanks again, Karen
